If you’re having trouble closing your door, most people automatically assume it’s the safety sensors. Did you know, improperly balanced doors, sections folding, a door hitting an obstruction are just a few examples of what may cause a door to reverse as well?

Openers manufactured after 1993 will have safety sensors. The simplest way to determine if it’s the sensors is to push and hold down the wall button. If you apply constant pressure and the door closes, your sensors aren’t lined up properly. If it still reverses, then It’s a force setting issue on the opener. This test must be performed from the wall button. It cannot be performed from any wireless device.
