What is a garage door roller and what does it do?

Ever wondered about those “wheels” on your garage door? Their importance?

Garage door rollers come in various designs, life cycles and weight capacity.

They’re responsible for keeping your door in the track, keeping your door running smoothly and supporting the weight of the door in the open position.
They can be plastic, stamped on the end of a stem with no bearings (the worst design ever made) steel and nylon. There’s a couple different bearing options to give you maximum strength and life cycles.

If your door is noisy or not operating smoothly there’s a chance your rollers have exceeded their life cycles.
